  • JLL UK Residential partners with Kamma to provide agents with real-time property licensing updates
  • As fines in London continue to climb above £9 million, agents need to stay ahead of new regulation
  • In the face of sterner penalties, this partnership equips JLL agents with the tools to navigate market complexity and avoid fines

25 July, 2023 – Geospatial technology firm Kamma has today announced another industry partnership with real estate leader JLL. This partnership grants JLL UK Residential agents access to Kamma’s innovative compliance services, ensuring real-time licensing updates that help agents to stay compliant with licensing requirements and avoid fines. Top-tier property managers need first-rate compliance tech; JLL’s partnership with Kamma has freed up time for driving first-class service to their landlords and tenants.

In recent years, landlords and agents have been required to assume more responsibility in ensuring that their rental properties meet all legal and safety requirements. A complex web of regulation throughout the UK means that licence monitoring tech is essential for staying compliant. Kamma’s services allow agents to track changes in licensing requirements and navigate the regulatory landscape with the best tools available.

In June, Kamma reported that fines in London had surpassed £9 million, with record growth in the first six months of a year. Newly announced licensing schemes in Merton, Southwark and Redbridge in London alone, and Manchester and Birmingham further afield, means that agents can expect further enforcement and fines without solutions like those provided by Kamma that help to stay ahead of regulatory changes.

“We are delighted to be partnering with JLL UK Residential and offer our licensing compliance services to their agents,” said Orla Shields, CEO of Kamma. “JLL is a globally recognised brand in the real estate industry, and this partnership will help their agents stay on top of licensing requirements, save time, and protect them against the risk of fines.”

Emma Deeny, Agency Development Director at JLL UK Residential, continues “introducing Kamma’s technology into our business has both ensured a higher level of licensing compliance, while also freeing up the teams’ time to continue driving a first-class service for our landlords and tenants.”
