  • Orla Shields

    Chief Executive Officer and co-founder

    Orla trained as a chartered accountant at Ernst & Young before moving to the Irish Central Bank to work on the recapitalisation of the Irish banking sector. Orla moved to London to manage a £650m infrastructure budget at the London 2012 Olympics and latterly worked as a Commercial Director of a number of top-tier digital agencies and media companies.

    Orla’s personal passion is cycling, regularly competing in races including achieving a ranking of 34th in the 2017 UCI World Amateur Cycling Championships.

  • Gary Gale

    Chief Technical Officer

    Gary has extensive engineering and product leadership experience at Yahoo! Geo-technologies, Nokia/HERE Maps, Ordnance Survey and was CTO of what3words. Gary holds RHCE (RedHat Certified Engineer) and FRGS (Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society) qualifications and still likes to write code.

    When he's not in the office, Gary works from anywhere with good espresso, free Wi-Fi and somewhere to charge his MacBook Pro. A bit of a map obsessive, Gary spends his spare time with his family, running the Mostly Maps blog, or tweeting about maps.

  • Chris Morgan

    Chief Operating Officer

    Chris spent eight years in Financial Services for companies such as Hatfield Philips International and CBRE, managing billions of pounds of Commercial Real Estate Mortgages on behalf of lenders and running client relationships. Specialising in modelling and reporting, Chris worked extensively on improving the Loan Servicing product to drive value for clients.

    A sporting addict, outside of the office Chris can usually be found on the football pitch or on the side lines supporting his beloved Man City.

  • Joe Webb

    Chief Marketing Officer

    Joe started his career at Kantar, the world’s largest data company, delivering marketing solutions to blue chip clients. He moved to Corporate Development and then to APAC where he ran GTM strategy for new data products, generating a 9-figure revenue stream. In his most recent role Joe built the growth function for a global entertainment brand, delivering ~600% revenue growth.

    Joe’s extracurricular accolades are a triumph of enthusiasm over ability. He has an amateur boxing record of 1-1-0 and completed both the Sally Up challenge and a no-prep trail marathon, during lockdown.

  • Neil Sampson

    Head of Product Innovation

    Neil has an extensive background in working with data driven products that solve real world problems. With roots in both technical and commercial roles he’s spent the last few years focusing on creating product strategy and vision for startups and big businesses alike, including recent roles at Rakuten and Experian.

    In his spare time he runs ultramarathons in an attempt to offset the inhuman amount of calories he consumes from eating and drinking with his family and friends at home and in restaurants.

  • Peter Panayi

    Commercial Director

    Pete brings fifteen years of commercial experience working for companies, such as YouGov and BT. Known for capitalizing on launching leading products that need market development and aggressive go-to-market strategies, while also restructuring multi-site organisations in hyper-growth markets across both established and developing economies.

    Pete loves extreme sports like cave diving, ultra-marathons, sky diving and you may even find him occasionally mudlarking around the Thames.

  • Neem Cassidy

    Head of Finance

    Neem is a certified chartered accountant and has held global leadership positions in high growth listed businesses, with expertise in the M&A and transformation disciplines. Neem managed CentralNic Plc’s capital restructure programme which involved raising a €100m bond debt and listing the bonds on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

    Neem loves to travel and explore different parts of the world, as well as enjoying a good book, and catching up with friends and family.

  • Richard Lainchbury

    Technical Director and co-founder

    Richard has worked primarily as a back-end developer, building databases and systems for a wide variety of clients. Richard has vast experience across PHP, ECMAScript, MySQL, CSS and Amazon AWS amongst other things.

    Richard also loves cycle camping, having toured across multiple countries.

  • Thierry Victor

    Product Manager

    Thierry previously worked as a senior people flow and crowd consultant in a large building engineering firm. Using data-driven and user-centered approaches, he then transitioned to a product management role, supporting the development of data visualization and modeling dashboards. He worked with General Electric, Vodafone property managers, Heathrow airport, UK Theatres Trust, New York High Line. During summer 2020, he worked with UK Universities to test social distancing strategies.

    In his spare time, Thierry created and launched a board game named Koala & Wine.

  • Liam Jones

    QA Lead

    Liam has many years experience within the QA discipline across multiple sectors. He enjoys problem solving and the challenges which come with software testing. Liam has experience working with different testing frameworks and techniques.

    In his spare time Liam enjoys watching and playing sport or going on long walks with his dog, Oreo.

  • Gemma Black

    Senior Software Engineer

    Gemma began her career as a Front-end Developer but graduated to Full-Stack early on, working across a range of industries including digital and marketing. Gemma is a strong advocate of domain driven design with a wide range of experience and skills including, Vue, ES6, CSS3, PHP, Node.js, Vue.js, MySQL and LAMP (Ubuntu and Nginx).

    Outside of the office, Gemma primarily spends her time on Bible based study and volunteering within her local community.

  • Ben Tindall

    Senior Software Engineer

    Ben started his career as a web developer intern, and rapidly worked his way up to Senior Software Developer at the University of Lincoln Students’ Union. Ben led the technical management of the SUMS platform, working with clients, managing junior developers, and building an award winning platform, specialising in PHP, MySQL, Vagrant, Restful APIs and Javascript amongst others.

    Although everything computing is Ben’s real passion, he’ll often be found skiing down the French pistes. Ben also loves hiking, games, and is a dab hand on a pub quiz.

  • Philip Perry

    Senior Software Engineer

    Philip has many years experience in web development. His favourite tech stack is Laravel + Vue. He enjoys learning about the latest web technologies and trying them out on his side-projects.

    Apart from that he spends his spare time with his family, learning languages and going cycling.

  • Andrew Pepin

    Senior Software Engineer

    In 2013, Andrew began his career as a Junior Back-end Developer. Since then he has worked on projects for clients and employers ranging from simple brochure sites, to integral internal systems for a large, international company. In his previous position he was promoted to lead a team of developers and making key architectural decisions. He primarily uses (and loves) Laravel and is an advocate for clean code and good architecture.

    Andrew also loves music. He's a musician who mainly plays drums, but also guitar and bass. He enjoys going to live shows and festivals, and has also previously toured around the UK and mainland Europe with bands of his own.

  • Eliza Ahmed

    Junior Software Engineer

    Eliza is graduated in Computer Science and Engineering and started her career as a Software Developer. She is passionate about efficient problem-solving, analytical thinking, enjoys working with data and numbers. Eliza has experience across full-stack, loves to use and dig deeper into JavaScript, React.js, Node.js, Express.js, PHP, Laravel, Python, Django, building RESTful API using MySQL or MongoDB database.

    In her spare time, Eliza enjoys cooking. She wants to be master of all the Biriyani dishes of the world and share them with her family and friends.

  • Hussain Somani

    Business Revenue Specialist

    Hussain Started his career in a start up Real estate firm as an Apprentice at the age of only 17 and worked his way up to Senior Sales manager 2 years later before he turned 20. After 4 years of B2C experience, Hussain wanted to dip his feet in the B2B market which he will do here at Kamma.

    In his spare time Hussain likes to watch sports and play sports (badminton and football mainly). Hussain also likes discovering and trying new places in London and going out with his friends and colleagues.

  • Kalpesh Odedra

    Business Revenue Specialist

    Kalpesh comes from a strong B2b and facilities services background. His last role involved selling ANPR cameras to SME’s across England, Scotland and Wales. Kalpesh enjoys relationship building and solution selling, which are his key drivers to effectively selling.

    Kalpesh enjoys participating in activities and learning new things in his spare time. When it comes to his drink, he loves his Cognac, but Covid-19 recently made him give in to drinking beer. He enjoys playing football and watching it on Sundays... Can’t a be Sunday without Super Sunday!

  • Josefin Nordahl

    Growth Executive

    Josefin has a background in international development and has undertaken work in various charities and social impact businesses. She has gained experience working in media, partnerships and business development, particularly in her previous role as a partnerships manger for an early stage start-up.

    Josefin is passionate about working with businesses to drive social impact and work towards a more sustainable future. When she is not working, she enjoys trying new recipes, hanging out with friends, exercising and dog spotting in the local park.

  • Lucy Norman

    Customer Success Executive

    Lucy has spent the last seven years working in the property Industry for companies such as Chestertons and most recently with Deverell Smith where her clients included Savills, Knight Frank and JLL. She is an expert in building relationships and working to find solutions for customers and colleagues alike.

    Outside of work Lucy can be found walking her dog Monty, sailing the mediterranean, cooking up a storm in the kitchen or escaping to her family farm in the country.

  • Shireen Mahmood

    Management Accountant

    Shireen studied Accounting and Finance at Middlesex university and has worked in various accounting roles including Barnardos, (the largest children's charity in the UK) where she worked as a Children services accountant and Burberry as Management accountant for Middle East countries. Her favourite role was at Olam International: an agri-commerce business operating from seed to shelf in 71 countries, supplying food and industrial raw materials to over 13,800 customers worldwide where she started as an assistant accountant and progressed to management accountant.

    Shireen likes to spend her spare time with my family and friends. She enjoys baking and is famous in her family for cookies. She also enjoys playing badminton and going for a run. Every year she takes part in the run to raise money for breast cancer.

  • Roman Malin-Hiscock

    Operations Executive

    Roman has an educational background in social innovation and has gained experience in various third sector roles, including operations and research. Recent notable achievements include the authorship of a published research paper in collaboration with The Felix Project and the management of a fundraising campaign for underprivileged communities in Ghana.

    In his spare time, Roman enjoys watching films, practicing photography, and developing his operational skills through his own e-commerce venture in the slow fashion space.

    Team Mascot


    Named in honour of one of our interns, The Trav is our team mascot, who's awarded to a team member who goes above and beyond and really lives our company values.

    As a llama, The Trav doesn't get out much but likes to sit on people's desks and doesn't take up much room.
