Orla trained as a chartered accountant at Ernst & Young before moving to the Irish Central Bank to work on the recapitalisation of the Irish banking sector. Orla moved to London to manage a £650m infrastructure budget at the London 2012 Olympics and latterly worked as a Commercial Director of a number of top-tier digital agencies and media companies.
Orla’s personal passion is cycling, regularly competing in races including achieving a ranking of 34th in the 2017 UCI World Amateur Cycling Championships.
Gary has extensive engineering and product leadership experience at Yahoo! Geo-technologies, Nokia/HERE Maps, Ordnance Survey and was CTO of what3words. Gary holds RHCE (RedHat Certified Engineer) and FRGS (Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society) qualifications and still likes to write code.
When he's not in the office, Gary works from anywhere with good espresso, free Wi-Fi and somewhere to charge his MacBook Pro. A bit of a map obsessive, Gary spends his spare time with his family, running the Mostly Maps blog, or tweeting about maps.
Chris spent eight years in Financial Services for companies such as Hatfield Philips International and CBRE, managing billions of pounds of Commercial Real Estate Mortgages on behalf of lenders and running client relationships. Specialising in modelling and reporting, Chris worked extensively on improving the Loan Servicing product to drive value for clients.
A sporting addict, outside of the office Chris can usually be found on the football pitch or on the side lines supporting his beloved Man City.
Joe started his career at Kantar, the world’s largest data company, delivering marketing solutions to blue chip clients. He moved to Corporate Development and then to APAC where he ran GTM strategy for new data products, generating a 9-figure revenue stream. In his most recent role Joe built the growth function for a global entertainment brand, delivering ~600% revenue growth.
Joe’s extracurricular accolades are a triumph of enthusiasm over ability. He has an amateur boxing record of 1-1-0 and completed both the Sally Up challenge and a no-prep trail marathon, during lockdown.
Neil has an extensive background in working with data driven products that solve real world problems. With roots in both technical and commercial roles he’s spent the last few years focusing on creating product strategy and vision for startups and big businesses alike, including recent roles at Rakuten and Experian.
In his spare time he runs ultramarathons in an attempt to offset the inhuman amount of calories he consumes from eating and drinking with his family and friends at home and in restaurants.
Pete brings fifteen years of commercial experience working for companies, such as YouGov and BT. Known for capitalizing on launching leading products that need market development and aggressive go-to-market strategies, while also restructuring multi-site organisations in hyper-growth markets across both established and developing economies.
Pete loves extreme sports like cave diving, ultra-marathons, sky diving and you may even find him occasionally mudlarking around the Thames.
Richard has worked primarily as a back-end developer, building databases and systems for a wide variety of clients. Richard has vast experience across PHP, ECMAScript, MySQL, CSS and Amazon AWS amongst other things.
Richard also loves cycle camping, having toured across multiple countries.
Gemma began her career as a Front-end Developer but graduated to Full-Stack early on, working across a range of industries including digital and marketing. Gemma is a strong advocate of domain driven design with a wide range of experience and skills including, Vue, ES6, CSS3, PHP, Node.js, Vue.js, MySQL and LAMP (Ubuntu and Nginx).
Outside of the office, Gemma primarily spends her time on Bible based study and volunteering within her local community.
Although everything computing is Ben’s real passion, he’ll often be found skiing down the French pistes. Ben also loves hiking, games, and is a dab hand on a pub quiz.
Ian has many years experience as a full stack developer working heavily with data analytics and data visualisation tools. His main passion is solving problems efficiently with software and his tools of choice include PHP, Node.js, React.js and React Native.
Outside of work he will often be found watching live sport or live music, of which London has an abundance, or maybe just sitting in the sun with a nice book.
Jawad studied Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering and through a passion for programming and chose coding as his career.
He worked in Germany for more than 4 years with various tech companies and has used AWS, Symfony, and other web technologies in creating software.
Jawad is a big fan of teamwork, helping and supporting each member of the team; because we all have one goal. He love to play table-football, table tennis, PlayStation, and socialising.
Matt has an extensive background in commercial sales, working alongside companies such as Shell Energy and First Utility. Known for a tenacious work ethic and comprehensive understanding of effective go-to-market strategies; Matt has a passion for introducing unique and meaningful products to expanding global markets.
Matt loves the gym, and has a passion for writing, reading, poetry and the arts.
Ben graduated from UCL in 2019 with a BA in Language and Culture. As part of his degree, he spent a year living and studying in Bologna where he consumed his body weight in pasta on a weekly basis. On his return Ben also started working as an account executive for a medical education startup whilst finishing up his degree.
Outside of work, Ben is a keen musician and can regularly be seen going to gigs around London or going for walks around Hampstead Heath.
Keir started his career in tech, having worked in a variety of non-technical roles at large and small companies. Now, he's making the leap to programming and is excited to see where it takes him.
When he's not battling bugs he likes to study languages, exercise, read and visit museums.
Named in honour of one of our interns, The Trav is our team mascot, who's awarded to a team member who goes above and beyond and really lives our company values.
As a llama, The Trav doesn't get out much but likes to sit on people's desks and doesn't take up much room.
