Kamma Corporate Social Responsibility Statement

Introduction

Kamma’s Corporate Social Responsibility Statement (CSR Statement) reflects the core values that have guided, and continue to guide our actions as a company.

We recognise that Kamma is not an island, but part of a connected world of people, values, other organisations and nature. We at Kamma recognise that we have a moral duty to contribute towards that world and have a positive social impact. Our CSR Statement formalises in words how we manage our business processes to achieve this.

We wish to adopt and commit to the principles and practices set out below.

People

Our people are the most valuable part of our business. We are committed to the well-being and continual development of everybody that joins Kamma. We take deliberate steps to train and cultivate our workforce, allowing them to evolve and flourish as people and workers in a rapidly changing professional environment.

We ensure that our employees are appreciated, valued and given regular honest feedback so that everyone has a clear understanding of their role and how they contribute to the business.

We operate a meritocracy, where all employees are recognised and rewarded on the basis of their performance, effort, contribution and achievements. Everybody at Kamma is expected to hold themselves and those around them to the highest standards of integrity and exercise a high standard of business practice and workmanship. We support diversity, fairness and equal opportunities and aim to involve and consult regularly with employees on the direction of the business.

Customers

We aim to build close long term relationships with all our customers and stakeholders by understanding their objectives as they and their markets evolve over time. We aim to give fair value, consistent quality and reliable service to every person and organisation that deals with Kamma. We aim to have the highest professional and ethical standards and will be honest, open and transparent in all dealings with customers.

Environment

We at Kamma are aware of our environmental impact and recognise the need to actively protect the natural environment. We as a business have taken and continue to take positive steps to mitigate that impact, including setting environmental objectives and targets, implementing procedures and providing training so employees and contractors understand their environmental responsibilities and can seek to improve our environmental performance.

We are also committed to leveraging data and technology to support our clients and other stakeholders to better understand their environmental impact, allowing them to take concrete steps to reduce it. By connecting data to the real world, we believe that we can have a large tangible impact on our world, beyond the boundaries of Kamma.

Volunteering

Kamma recognises that charitable giving and volunteering play important roles in contributing to society. We encourage our employees to volunteer for charities and causes that they believe in and provide a number of days leave each year for employees to dedicate to charitable pursuits. We believe in empowering our staff to make the change that they want to see in the world, wherever that may be.
