In January, we launched Property Zero: The path to carbon neutrality for UK homes, an interactive data site displaying how a lack of energy efficiency measures in UK homes is threatening Net Zero targets.
Orla Shields, CEO of Kamma, discusses how 16 million homes in the UK lack basic energy efficiency standards, and almost 11 million properties do not have energy efficient light bulbs – but if introduced could save up to 1.9 million tonnes of CO2 emissions annually.
“Our aim is to make property data more accessible to everyone to support green home upgrades. That is why we have chosen to provide this data openly, and for free, to anyone who wants to learn more about property emissions and the path to carbon neutrality for UK homes.”
