For a house in multiple occupation with five or more occupiers forming two or more households. Mandatory HMO licensing is statutory, so it applies in every council area: 380 mandatory schemes are recorded across 359 councils.
A council extension of HMO licensing to smaller HMOs, commonly three or four occupiers. 66 additional schemes are in force.
Applies to privately rented homes inside a designated area whether or not the property is an HMO. 105 selective schemes are in force.

No. Our applications service is a standalone service, so you don't need a Kamma Suite or Quick Check subscription. That said, many of our applications customers find Kamma Suite useful for keeping the rest of their portfolio compliant after a licence is in place.
The council fee is paid by Kamma on the landlord's behalf as part of the service. Council fees vary by council and licence type, and the exact amount will be confirmed before submission. It is collected as part of the application process.
