The reintroduction aims to continue improving tenancy management and set minimum standards for housing within the PRS. The council concluded that a new scheme, when combined with other local initiatives like the Public Space Protection Order, would further enhance the area’s social and economic conditions, reduce ASB, and promote community cohesion
What are the HMO conditions to obtain a licence in Doncaster?
Doncaster’s HMO conditions set minimum standards for properties with shared facilities to ensure tenant safety and well-being. Key requirements include a minimum bedroom size of 6.51m² for single occupants, and kitchens with at least 2m² per person of floor space for up to 5 residents. Each HMO must provide adequate bathroom facilities, with at least 1 bathroom and 1 WC for every 5 occupants.
